As for trade, what are the expected benefits once the event is over?
Before taking part in this momentous world event, an analysis of business prospects in tourism and exports was carried out, which produced very favorable results. Exports to the UAE market have increased exponentially in recent years, making it our main trading partner in the Middle East. Despite the good results, there is still a lot be done in order to continue opening up markets, both in Dubai and in neighboring countries, especially for our super foods, coffee and alpaca fiber.
And the Tourism Industry?
Showcasing the wonders of Peru before the millions of people who will attend Expo Dubai is also a great opportunity to increase the flow of tourists visiting our country and increase our exports of both goods and services, positioning us as an ideal country to generate business. It is estimated that more than 30,000 potential travelers, mainly from Asia, will visit Peru in the two years following the event, with an average daily expenditure that will exceed US$ 2000.
What initiatives and products will Peru bring to Expo Dubai, and what demands do they respond to?
The commercial offer that Peru will present at Expo Dubai aims to promote our leading exports, such as superfoods , alpaca fiber and quinoa. We will also promote tourism, investments and innovative initiatives in different areas, for which we will provide spaces in the Peruvian pavilion that will allow Peruvian business people and entrepreneurs to meet with potential investors and thus generate development and business opportunities to benefit our compatriots.
