Peru makes official its participation in Expo Dubai 2020

Peru will showcase the biological and cultural diversity of its 25 regions, including the Andes, the coast, the jungle and the sea during 6 months. This important international event will give a strong boost to the country's tourism and export activity, which is currently in the process of recovery. We estimate that Peru's participation in this Expo will bring in some US$ 70 million.

Peru's pavilion will have 2,500 m2 of constructed area distributed over four floors, and will have rooms for doing business and a restaurant to promote its gastronomy. PROMPERÚ was in charge of its implementation.

OPPORTUNITY FOR PERUVIAN COMPANIES

In a ceremony held on August 23 at the Lima Convention Center, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Roberto Sanchez, stressed that participation in Expo 2020 Dubai is in line with the interests of the Government: to achieve a sustainable and decentralized tourism and foreign trade, which translates into benefits and opportunities for all Peruvians.

At Expo 2020 Dubai, business rounds, commercial meetings, coordination meetings, gastronomic and cultural activations will be held. Within this framework, the Peru Moda and Peru Natura - Dubai forum, the Peru Food and Beverage Expo, the business roundtable for decoration products and hospitality items for the Horeca sector (hotels and restaurants), among other activities, will also be held.

It should be noted that Peru's participation in this international event has been possible thanks to the work of the multisectoral committee created for this purpose, the commitment of talented Peruvians and the companies that are betting on this great event, such as DP World, Pisco 1615 and Flo Trading, which became the first sponsors.

ADVANCE

During the ceremony, a preview of the Peruvian pavilion was shown, which has the concept Timeless Peru ('Perú eterno' or 'Perú atemporal'). Precisely, through this message, the Peruvian exhibition will offer a sensory experience through its historical and culinary legacy.

The Peruvian pavilion will be strategically located in the Expo's 'Mobility' zone, in a space with a high flow of visitors that will guarantee a large number of visitors.
