DP World will provide all logistical support to the Peru Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

The DP World Peru company indicated today that it will provide all logistical support to the Peru Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai mega event, which will attract the attention of more than 25 million people.

In a brief ceremony held at the facilities of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), DP World Peru and Promperú signed an agreement through which the port logistics operator commits to the shipment of cargo and storage of the 4 containers that Peru is sending to Expo 2020 in Dubai through DP World Logistics as an international freight forwarder.

Peru’s participation in this mega global event aims to position Peruvian culture, gastronomy and other products in the international market, and take advantage of the growing commercial ties between the United Arab Emirates and Latin America, showing what Peruvian companies can offer. to Arab and Middle Eastern markets.

“We are pleased to make this alliance to become allies of Peru and contribute with the logistics services and international freight agents that are required for it to be present at Expo 2020 Dubai for six months, from October 1, 2021 to on March 31, 2022 ”, explained Nicolas Gauthier, CEO of DP World in Peru.

“Through DP World Logistics, we will perform all the international freight agent services for the safe and timely transfer of both the material that will be used for the Peru Pavilion at Expo 2020, as well as the merchandising, art and gastronomy that reflect the best of Peruvian culture ”, added Gauthier.

Expo 2020 is the first universal exhibition to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, and will be the largest event in the Arab world.

Expo 2020 is expected to attract more than 25 million visitors and 70% of those visitors are expected to come from other countries around the world, representing the highest proportion of international visitors in the 168-year history of world exhibitions.
